At PMIR, we are very proud to support organizations such as the Wellness Community Valley/ Ventura. Last Friday, all our doctors attended the “Evening of Hope” Gala, an event to celebrate and raise funds for the amazing work the Wellness Community Center provides to cancer patients and their families. PMIR Medical Center was a Silver Sponsor of the event, and will continue its support as an educational partner by giving lectures at the Wellness Community Center, helping educate those suffering from cancer about cancer pain and the latest treatment options for the condition.
A little about the Wellness Community and why we support their work:
This organization is dedicated to providing support, education and hope to people with cancer and their loved ones free of charge. Through participation in professionally-led support groups, educational workshops, nutrition and exercise programs, and stress-reduction classes, people affected by cancer learn vital skills that enable them to regain control, reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of their disease.
The Wellness Community Valley/ Ventura serves over 3,235 individuals per year representing over 27,201 hours of service. They rely entirely on donations to continue providing such needed services. Please learn more about their service by visiting TWCVV’s website.
