The holiday season is upon us! However, the warm Southern California weather may not set the “winter wonderland” scene you were hoping for. Fortunately there are plenty of local holiday festivities to attend! If you’re looking for a way to get into the holiday spirit, look no further! We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite local events.
Ventura County Holiday Events
12/1-12/3: Christmas Festival Concerts at CalLutheran University
The CLU Choral Ensembles and University String Symphony combine forces to present the annual Christmas Festival Concerts. Welcome the holiday season with this special musical gift, featuring a narrated performance of Christmas music guaranteed to put you in the holiday mood.
12/3: Cancer Support Community Holiday Boutique
10am-5pm
Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara will hold its 26th Annual Holiday Boutique on Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3rd from 10am-5pm. The boutique complements the Holiday Homes Tour, one of the organization’s largest fundraisers. The Holiday Boutique is free to the public and does not require the purchase of tour tickets. It will take place at O’Reilly Hall at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 5801 Kanan Road, Westlake Village, CA 91362.
12/3: Jingle Bell Run/ Walk for Arthritis in Agoura Hills
The Arthritis Foundation’s original Jingle Bell Run is a fun way to get decked out and be festive, while racing to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability. Put on your favorite holiday costume.
12/10: Holiday Single Along at the Shoppes in Westlake Village
3pm-6pm
Photos with Santa Claus, toy drive, cookie decorating, giveaways, and much more! Drop by the Shoppes in Westlake Village for a night full of fun festivities!
12/12: Chanukah Storytime for Kids at the Camarillo Library
10am-11am
Join the Camarillo Library as they lead children in a special storytime about Chanukah to learn about the holiday!
12/15-12/16: Annual Ventura Harbor Holiday Parade

Ventura Harbor celebrates the season with its 41st Annual Holiday Parade of Lights & Fireworks on Friday, December 15th and Saturday, December 17th starting at 6:30 pm. This year’s parade will celebrate 100 years of our national parks.
11/9-1/28: Annual Holiday Ice Rink at The Lakes in Thousand Oaks
Celebrate the holiday season at the annual Holiday Ice Rink at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks open November 9 through January 28.
Los Angeles Holiday Events
12/10: Hanukkah Festival: LA/LA
11am-4pm
Inspired by the Getty’s Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA initiative, this year’s festival explores the themes of Hanukkah through the traditions of Los Angeles’s rich and diverse Latin American communities.
11/17-1/7: LA Zoo Lights
Whether you like your holidays on the traditional side or served with a twist, you’ll find plenty of eye-popping, jaw-dropping wonder at L.A. Zoo Lights, which is delivering seasonal sights, sounds and delights nightly through January 8.
11/15-12/21: LA Holiday Ice Rink at L.A. Live
Join the holiday fun at LA Live! The LA Kings Holiday Ice Rink opens on Sunday, November 25th and closes on December 21st.
